Ruth Axtell, owner and Interior Designer of Tout le Monde Interiors, offers an array of Interior Design services that include Room and Space Planning, Kitchen and Bathroom Remodels, Color Consulting, Custom Window Treatments and much more. I have always been passionate about art, creativity and design. The first Interior Design project I worked on was a 6 Room dollhouse that my father lovingly built for me when I was about 6 years old. My mother and I wallpapered each little room and over the course of a few years I either hand-made or, with birthday and allowance money, I purchased furniture and accessories for that sweet little house. I even made my very first window treatments! Today, my Interior Design Projects have grown to full- sized Homes, Kitchens and Bath Designs and Renovations.

I started this crazy business by opening a store on Main Street in downtown Nashua in 2003. I loved owning a retail store! In 2000 sf of retail space I sold antiques, upholstery, bedding, accessories, and gifts – a little bit of everything.

I specialized in European antiques which is where the name ‘Tout le Monde Interiors” came from. (Literal translation is “All the World” or “Interiors for Everyone” in French). I ran my Interior Design Services from the store as well and that is where I began to grow my client base in Southern New Hampshire (NH). I loved my customers, the friendships I developed, the holiday events in the downtown and shopping for the store. In 2006, my husband and I were expecting our first child and we decided that 2000 sf of retail space, running a full interior design firm and raising a new baby was even a bit more that I could even handle. I decided to close the store and have been working out of my home office ever since.

For more than a decade now I have worked on many exciting Interior Decorating and Design projects. I work closely with my clients to understand their lifestyles, tastes and budgets to bring their design dreams to a reality. I specialize in room and space planning, kitchen and bath design and remodeling, custom window treatments and much more. I have partnered with some of the best tradesmen in the New England area and we work very closely together for all of my clients in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
