All successful projects begin with a great design. I work hard to transform ideas into a reality from initial concept drawings to a finished space. The process starts with an initial consultation where I spend time talking and listing to my clients to understand what their design and decorating needs are. It is so important to know how the client wants to use the space as it is not just about making something beautiful, but also functional. I can source all furnishings, accessories and decor items and set up the client's room, install window treatments, lay out rugs, hang art work - everything that is needed to finish their space.

Art Selection and Custom Items

I help my clients to find those perfect and unique pieces for their homes or office spaces whether it is in the form of artwork or a custom-made piece of furniture. I love art and hand made things. I work with hundreds of artists and crafts-people around the country as well as sell and commission my own artwork.

Have a lot of family photos but don't know what to do with them? I help my clients sort their photos, frame and hang amazing displays of their best memories.

Interior Renovations & Remodeling

As the owner and interior designer of Ruth Axtell Interiors, I work closely with my team of trades people and my clients to achieve amazing results on all of our renovation and remodeling projects. The process starts with an initial consultation to meet the clients and understand their design goals. I offer many services that include space planning and producing renderings. Once the drawings are approved, I bring in my trades to provide estimates for the project. I provide a scope of work, estimates, deliverables, and a schedule for all the work to be done. I handle ordering materials and fixtures, deliveries, and ensure everything is on sight for when it is needed for the project. I over see every aspect of the project to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible and handle any issues if they should arise.

The success of any project relies on strong and competent project management. I am here to take care of all aspects of the project.

Custom Window Treatments and Upholstery

Nothing warms up a space like textures and textiles. I measure, design, fabricate and install all of my window treatments. I offer hundreds of fabric selections from my library that I bring into the comfort of my client’s home. Have an older piece of furniture that needs a face lift? Let us re upholster it for you! Other custom items offered are custom pillows, bedding, chair pads and table linens.
